Data leaked from analyst firm Cowen and Company indicates Halo 4 sold 3.2 million copies in the US during November. Microsoft's title was the second highest selling game of the month, with Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops II shifting 7.5 million.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed III managed to sell 2.9 million units, while EA's Need for Speed: Most Wanted sold 509,000.

Overall, US boxed games sales are down 11% to $2.55 billion.
