Games Workshop has announced that games developer Full Control has started work on a new Space Hulk game for the PC, Mac and iOS.

Due for release in 2013, Space Hulk will allow players to take control of a strike force of Blood Angels Terminators as they make their way through the close confines of the Space Hulk - Sin of Damnation. It's a turn-based game that emulates the look and feel of the board game, but with full 3D animation. Genestealers lurk menacingly while the Terminators use their action points, bolter rounds tear down corridors in overwatch cut-scenes and whole sections of corridor are set alight as the heavy flamer hoses them down.

Here's the first teaser trailer:

We'll keep you updated on its progress.

Provided they do some good work with it and aren't TOO strict with the transition, I mean some fancy extras would liven it up a bit. That said, keep it brutal please :P

Played the original and the Third Person version (don't remember what that was, but do remember playing it - very hard I recall).
Well, I'm in. Even if it's half of what it promises to be, and as long as it works, I'll merrily board the space hulk. Something about this narrative I very much enjoy.

What's the worst that can happen with the regeneration of a title like this:

The worst? Stock market erupts in a frenzy due to the mass purchase of the game. The stock market increase causes a depletion of revenue in said stocks. The combination causes a worldwide depression worse than the "Great Depression" in the US. The world, due to the lack of stable economical status, falls into collapse. Terrorist organizations take control of the collapsing superpowers (US, Britain, Germany, etc.) and randomly launch Nuclear Missiles. The resulting explosions from said missiles causes the Earth itself to fall into relapse. The radiation creates a global extinction. Only the strongest of each species survives.
Hey...maybe Gary Paulsen's Transall Saga was real....
