Indie developer Misfit Village has started crowdfunding for their survival horror title Tainted Fate on Kickstarter predecessor IndieGoGo.

The team states that their title was inspired by Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but instead of a psychological horror bent, Tainted Fate will take a more Wes Craven angle and go for a more aggressive Drag Me to Hell sort of horror.

Tainted Fate will feature a dual narrative that will interweave with each other. One plotline takes place in the 1940's and involves a convicted murderer who is exiled onto a mysterious island, while the other features a female filmmaker who is investigating rumors of a haunted island.
