The Kickstarter campaign has 22 days to go. Subterranean aren't hiding their passion for lording it over an army of evil minions, ala Dungeon Keeper, but they've got some new ideas too. Backers are helping them decide how to outfit rooms for our minions, with the first Build-A-Room poll yielding a cosy looking carpet. The next poll focuses on walls. Amazingly you can see the results of Subterranean's labour right now with their regularly updated showcase demo of War for the Overworld. It's powered by Unity and can be downloaded and played with various resolution options. Obviously it's rather basic and designed purely as an interactive tease for what's to come. They've just added an Empire base and some roaming Juggernauts. You can also possess and walk around as some worker imps. Anyone who claims to be a fan of Dungeon Keeper will immediately see where this is all going and the kind of features to expect. Interestingly the team hope for a full Empire campaign too; that's the goody two-shoe heroes. Subterranean Games are aiming for a beta in March, with the base game released by August. Check out the Kickstarter campaign and help rally the minions so the project can reach its £150,000 goal. They introduce 'Flex Goals' which are unlocked every £75k with backers getting to vote on what they want from the list. It'll be DRM-free and mod friendly, promise the UK studio team.
