Amazon.com has apparently revealed an unannounced Hitman bundleware called the Hitman HD Trilogy. The bundle will include Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money, which will be remastered in HD for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The site gives a 29th January 2013 release date.

There will also apparently be a Premium Edition which will include an "exclusive Art Book for Limited Edition version (first run version) 22 pieces of never before seen reinterpretations of classic moments from Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, and Hitman Blood Money all done by top artists."

Square Enix has not replied to press inquiries yet. Stay tuned.

Why would you need to get it for PC?

So based on that response it basically only brings higher resolution support for consoles?

"will be remastered in HD" not only the resolution. But some graphical enhancements.

Higher res textures which can be added by a patch, official or not, etc.

Why for PC? Most of the time Silent Assassin and Contracts don't work properly and the resolution and textures are greatly outdated.

That's not all that hard to fix in comparison to making an HD console version for consoles for which Blood Money only was on 360, for the rest none of the games were on either platform.

And seriously? A decent remake by the devs is 50x as good as the best texture pack you can find on games from a decade ago.
