Ubisoft has updated the tropical island paradise that is Far Cry 3 with patch 1.03. In it we see, or rather hear, Russian and Czech languages now in the Steam digital version. There's no mention of UI changes.

For those with a 32+ core CPU, Ubi has "fixed issues" for you. They've also addressed trouble around ULC content activation keys, and player-made map rotations.

The team have talked about releasing a feature for the island shooter that lets us toggle on and off UI elements so we don't feel like we're stuck in a maelstrom of updates and waypoints.

It doesn't seem 1.03 is that update, but here's what we get:

• Added Russian and Czech language support for Steam versions.
• Fixed issues for machines that have more than 32 cores.
• Fixed issues for activation keys bundled with ULC privileges. ULC content will now unlock during activation.
• Improvements to playlists and rotation for User Made maps.

Far Cry 3, along with Assassin's Creed 3, is now finally available on Steam in the UK after having mysteriously been held back from launching alongside its European buddies.
