EA and Visceral Games is pleased to be the first to reach the 'Kinect voice commands in co-op' finish line. We'll be screaming 'Find partner!', 'Fire stasis!' and 'Loo break!' to our chums.

This Kinect feature gives a "unique way to take down the terror," whether solo or with friends in "drop-in / drop-out co-op" against those Necromorphs fiends. Get those vocal cords ready.

These simple voice commands will make tasks like giving each other health or ammo, finding objectives, and reviving one another much easier, boast EA.

“The voice commands in Dead Space 3 give players a unique way to take down the terror, whether they choose to face the Necromorphs alone in single-player, or alongside a friend with drop-in / drop-out co-op,” said Steve Papoutsis.

“Dead Space 3 delivers the action-horror experience our fans have come to know and love. And with the ability to survive the adventure alone, with a friend, or with Kinect, we’re excited about extending the spine-tingling Dead Space experience to a whole new audience of players.”

Dead Space 3 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC February 5th in the US, 8th in EU.

NO! BAD EA! NO!

You know you're not supposed to support that ridiculous thing.

What a mess, and a joke to boot. I was hoping that they would this time boldy state: "Dead Space 3 - First Co-op game to feature re-mappable keyboard controls". No such luck.

making an "horror" themed game coop completly elimintaes any creepiness to it... and addind the ability to talk to it destroys it even more as youre concetration will go to other tasks then focusing on what you see or hear...

Wonder how the voice command thingyummyjiggy will respond to squeals from teeny-boppers. Probably spark a bit then implode.

But it is good when you rile the little buggers up and laugh you're arse off at them as they virtually explode with expletives. Loads of fun in past "CoD:MW" games doing just this:)

I have to agree, Co-Op does ruin the scare factor of a game, but none the less I am sure that this could be fun. I enjoyed the predecessors, so I am bound to enjoy this one as well.
