Minecraft franchise hits 17.5M total sales

Mojang has announced that with the 5M unit sales of Minecraft - The Pocket Edition for iOS devices, the franchise has achieved over 17.5M unit sales. This includes the original Minecraft on PC and the Xbox Live Arcade release of the game.

The base Minecraft for PC and Mac sold 8.3 million copies, while the Xbox Live Arcade version sold 4.48 million copies as of last week.

You can't stop Minecraft, you can only hope to build a brick wall out of cubes to try to contain it.

Sure you can, make sure every person on the planets owns a copy and then prevent any new people from being born.
Or alternatively you could just kill everyone that still didn't buy a copy.
