450K units of Minecraft sold on Christmas Day

Mojang has announced that their popular building block MMO Minecraft sold over 450K units across several platforms including PC, Mac OS, Xbox Live Arcade, Android and iOS.

Markus "Notch" Persson tweeted, "Across all platforms, Minecraft sold 453k copies on dec 24! Wowzers! <3" - then corrected his typo, "Sorry, dec 25, not 24".

Back on the 13th December, Mojang had announced that the IP had sold over 17.5M units across all platforms - which means the series has topped the 18M mark.

That's good, seeing everyone using their imagination instead of following tightly scripted "let's go for a walk" type games. Not for me though.
Me, I'd rather play "Anno 2070" thanks, or struggle to work out how to play it more like.
