The Walking Dead has sold over 8.5M episodes

The Walking Dead by Telltale Games has racked up the awards, and similarly, it has racked up sales over several platforms including PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and iOS. The sales have numbered over 8.5M according to CEO Dan Connors.


In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Connors revealed, "November and December were our biggest months. It was the culmination of the product, the game of the year awards, the retail push, and it still has a ton of head room in it."

Said awards included winning Game of the Year at the Spike TV VG Awards.

Telltale is in preproduction of Season 2 of The Walking Dead, which promises will import save game files from Season 1.

Wow, this game is doing quite well, and I still haven't gone further than Episode II.

And they say the adventure genre is dead..And it's not profitable. Might not be for a big corp, but for a small company, that particular adventure niche and a well thought management seems to be the right thing.
