Rumor: Fallout 4 details allegedly leaked on Reddit

Robot in Fallout 3.
A user on Reddit has made some waves claiming to be have a friend in public relations with Bethesda with some info about the unannounced Fallout 4, which he claims will be a "direct sequel" to Fallout 3 and will take place in Boston.

According to the user:

* First and foremost, the game will take place in Boston, and be kind of a direct sequel to Fallout 3 with a few groups returning.
* From what it sounds like, "The Institute" is pretty much the downtown DC or New Vegas of this game. Boston is going to be unlike anything we've seen in a Fallout game before, with buildings more on par with cyberpunk and retro-futurism.
* Androids play a big part in this game. The railroad from Fallout 3 is a faction. The enemies of the railroad is "the Plantation" -- a group who force Androids to farm so that Humans can get food. The Institute is highly advanced and probably obtained or built their own GECK to start a farm.
* Due to complaints about using Super Mutants and the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3 excessively and going against the lore too much, Bethesda has decided to avoid using these groups. Bethesda wants to make a new "race" (think Ghoul, Super Mutant) which will be central to Boston. Bethesda is currently looking at Lovecraftian fiction since Boston is around "Lovecraft Country".
* Bethesda has no plans to reinvent the leveling up system to make it more like Skyrim and want to make Fallout 4 more distinct from Skyrim since of the complaints that Oblivion and Fallout 3 were too similar. Bethesda is thinking about introducing a system, similar to Skyrim, where your skills can level up if you perform certain tasks.

It would be a reasonable direction to go to, sure. Although can I just point out one thing...

Stop pretending it is please, thank you :)

They want to make Fallout 4 distinct from Skyrim, by introducing a levelling up system like Skyrim? That makes no sense..... Also, I was hoping they would expand beyond the USA for this and, maybe trave to Europe or somewhere just so we can see how badly the rest of the world was affected by the war.

You never know, this shit might be fake???
You never know, Bethesda might make the game more worse or better.
we need to be patient.
All i hope is that they change the features a little different from fallout 3 or New Vegas.

I should try New Vegas again. I started it right after I finished Fallout 3, but it was too buggy and didn't have enough of the "radio active wasteland" feeling imo. But since there have been patches and many mods...

Anyway, I feel like this is just another hoax and people just like to believe it. If it ends up being true, that'd be cool. But it sounds just too much like the list with so called "features" somebody posted on a forum about GTA V a few months ago. Every big game news corp went around with that story.

@Jasca_Ducato read carefully, they want to make the leveling up more distinct, but the skills closer to the system in Skyrim.

@noobst3R I'm in the same position, never got past the moment where you actually enter New Vegas in F:NV, maybe I'll play the game in anticipation for FO4.

I know what it says, I was pointing out the fact that the idea of introducing anything similar to Skyrim, defeats the point of trying to make the games more distinct.
