Saw this on sale in EB Games the other day for $68 and felt the old lure of temptation. At that price, even though on sale, I can't justify the outlay. Pity - might play this one day.

68$ a sale? lol

That's already painfully above what I'd normally be willing to pay for a game, there were a few exceptions but luckily those are very rare.

This is Australia we're talking about - the land of the price-gouged. It was originally $99-109.

I wasn't making fun of you or anything, that was aimed at the publishers who consider that kind of pricing acceptable.

I know that it's wrong but I'd would not be buying games if I had to pay so much more over the regular price, and the EU is already paying a bit more for games than the US but not nearly close to the level of abuse that you guys are going trough.

I know you weren't making fun, unlike many from the US who post comments about what a bunch of whiners we are or "I'm glad I don't live in that silly country". Tossers!

I am in an ongoing verbal attack on GreenManGaming for folding to pressure, and having to take on wankers from other countries stating that GMG will not lament the loss of one customer. They don't get it. Not only have they lost a customer base (not just one customer) but they are reinforcing what is already technically illegal but yet to be challenged in court.
Te more distributors that fold, the more publishers will try this on. If they succeed with ANZ, as so far they have, who's next do you think? Greed does not stop by itself, it has to BE stopped.

Wow, that's pretty steep prices still - but I see that Diablo 3 is still around 44.99€ here still and some even charge 49.99€. So it is still the high price as a new top of the line game. I wouldn't recommend anyone spending that amount of money on it. Get Torchlight 2 for a fraction and then wait some more...

That's Blizzards doing, they are keeping the prices of their games high.

Not just Blizzard but bigger sister company Activision does so too, all under the parental umbrella of Vivendi.

Can't say that I am looking forward to this patch.
