Gearbox Software and 2K Games celebrate the launch of the latest DLC for Borderlands 2 as Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt becomes available on Xbox 360 and PC, with PS3 tomorrow in EU.

This is the third major add-on for Borderlands 2, with the Season Pass said to cover four major DLC releases. We join Sir Hammerlock as we thwart a new villain in an all-new land; Aegrus.

Sir Hammerlock is a minor character in Borderlands 2, but one that has proved one of Pandora's most beloved. What better way to honour him than with his own DLC?

"What starts off as a relaxing hunting expedition with Sir Hammerlock soon takes a sinister turn as our Vault Hunters stumble across a new villain intent on restoring the legacy of Handsome Jack," blurbs the press release. "Irresistible new loot, memorable new quests, a variety of challenging and exotic new enemies, a new vehicle and more await players as they fight their way through the never-before-seen lands of Aegrus to give this evil-doer the old one-two!"

Don't worry, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt also promises more Claptrap. It also features an all-new vehicle courtesy of the Catch-A-Boat. This fan boat comes with 68 custom skins apparently. The whole add-on adventure has about 5 main quests and 12 side quests. The new Aegrus continent is a mix of swamp and jungle.

Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is out now on Xbox 360 and PC, January 16th on PS3.
