Rumour: Sega tables offer for Relic Entertainment

Reports suggest Sega has currently tabled the highest offer for Relic Entertainment.

THQ assets are being auctioned off in a secret event away from press, but industry insiders suggest the story is true.

How would Relic Entertainment sit with Sega? Pretty naturally. The publisher already owns Total War developer The Creative Assembly; adding Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000 to the lineup makes perfect sense.

Dead Island publisher Koch Media is also rumoured to be winning the race for Saints Row and Red Faction developer Volition Inc.

We will update as soon as we receive any news.

They even had the Warhammer fantasy license, so for SEGA this makes perfect sense, pretty much a no-brainer.

Although I'm still not fond of SEGA, I REALLY want those franchises to stay alive.

Better in Sega's hands than EA or Capcom. As long as the quality remains, all's good.

Have to agree, better Sega than some of the others.

True enough that, seems like there's hardly a publisher left that I'd trust :/
