Born Ready Games has announced that Strike Suit Zero, their Kickstarter crowdfunded project, is now available for sale on Steam for $19.99 USD.

Strike Suit Zero is a mech and space combat simulation hybrid in which players get in a mech and launch themselves into major space battles.

The game features mech and spaceship designs by renowned mecha designer Junji Okubo, who had worked on Steel Battalion and Appleseed and a score by Paul Ruskay (who did the score to Homeworld) and Kokia (Tales of Innocence, Origins: Spirits Of The Past.) The game will also feature Oculus Rift support later in the year.

I almost splurged but decided against it as I'd like to see a substantial price drop and more content. From what I've read and watched, there are problems with the game (can't invert mouse axis and several crashes at start-up or after saving games). The Devs are hard at work on Patches and interacting well on the Steam Forums.
A difficult game (requiring focus and not for the casual gamer), particularly as you cannot lock on to torpedoes or other mission-dependent objects, and short at 13 missions, there is promise of future fixes and content. No denying it's a beauty to look at, but this year is going to be filled with such titles ("Dawnstar" and "Star Conflict" to name but two).
