Cryptic Studios' Neverwinter will be starting a beta weekend February 8th, with those who purchase the top two Founder's Pack guaranteed beta invites. Beta access is free for those not interested.

There are three different Founder's Packs on offer, with the most expensive at $199.99 and the cheapest at $19.99. These also grant early access to the planned open beta.

Neverwinter is a free-to-play MMO from Cryptic and Perfect World. The beta weekends are scheduled as February 8-10, March 8-10, and March 22-24. All are open to US and EU players.

"The highly anticipated game is free-to-play and players do not have to pay to get into beta," said Perfect World.

"However, starting today, players can secure a spot in beta and become a founding member with one of three versions of Neverwinter's Founder's Pack. Each pack offers different tiers of rewards for players including guaranteed access to the upcoming Neverwinter Beta Weekends, early access to the upcoming Open Beta, VIP perks, and exclusive permanent in-game items." The three packs are detailed on the official Neverwinter website.

They've released a new video to tease the Founder's Pack for Neverwinter.

Being an interested party in Cryptic Studios I've kept up to date on this through newsletters and visiting the site. I'm afraid I'll just be happy with the F2P model,as with other Cryptic titles (all two of them) and leave the Founder's Packs to the MMO dieshards. What a luxury to afford that sort of spare time, and dedication
