The tactical squad-based affair is in development for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC. It originally debuted in April 2010 as a class-based FPS, and before Firaxis revealed XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It was due out in March last year but suddenly delayed with speculation that it had become a downloadable third-person shooter. It's unclear what XCOM has become now. 2K Games has seen a strong return to the PC franchise with Firaxis' highly lauded XCOM: Enemy Unknown which stuck with its turn-based strategy roots. The developer plans on releasing more downloadable content over time. Below is a dev diary for 2K Marin's XCOM which released back in September 2011. How relevent is it today? | |
