During Ubisoft's FY 2012-13 Q3 conference call, it was revealed that the publisher is already planning a new Far Cry game, promising that fans "will not having to wait another 4 years" Far Cry 4.

When the first Far Cry was released it took Ubisoft another 4 years to deliver Far Cry 2, but the publisher believes it has the gameplay formula correct this time, so it shouldn't be long until we see Far Cry 4.

The conference call is currently ongoing, so we'll bring you anymore news that hits when we get it.

Is Far Cry 4 really necessary?

As long as it doesn't become another annual release then it should have time to re-garner interest. I'll be passing as my time with this sort of game has passed.

It doesn't quite apply though, as "FC 3" had a very different outcome to "Far Flop 2".
Over to you, Chosen.....:)

Since each company has their own annual game - why not skip the påretence and just call them ActiVision shooter IIX, UbiShooter V, Blizzard click your ass off XVII etc...
Names and franchises doesn't seem to mean anything anymore anyway so....

Maybe they will cast Stephen Dorf from the original Far Cry,now that would be something.

He only takes on B-Grade film deals now and appears to be angry all the damn time. Let's leave Dorf to his angst....
