Capcom has announced that it will be starting the Capcom Arcade Cabinet, which will be similar to the Game Room that Microsoft launched years ago for Xbox and Windows Live, in which players buy classic arcade titles piecemeal, or all in one huge bundle at the end.

Capcom will start releasing Game Packs from the 19th February through to the 16th April, and then release all the games in one bundle on the 21st May.

The release schedule includes:

* February 19-20: Game Pack 1 (Black Tiger, Avengers, 1943: The Battle of Midway) - 400 MSP / $4.99 USD
* March 5: Game Pack 2 (Ghosts n Goblins, Gun.Smoke, Section Z) 800 MSP / $9.99 USD
* March 19: Game Pack 3 (Side Arms, Legendary Wings, Trojan) 800 MSP / $9.99 USD
* April 2: Game Pack 4 (Commando, The Speed Rumbler, Exed Exes (Savage Bees)) 800 MSP / $9.99 USD
* April 16: Game Pack 5 (1942, SonSon, Pirate Ship Higemaru) 800 MSP / $9.99 USD

For gamers who purchase all five packs, they will receive a bonus 2 games, which have not yet been announced. On the 21st May, gamers can buy all 17 titles in one pack for 2000 MSP / $29.99 USD.

Takes me back 30 years or so, and I've no wish to revisit that. Retro rubbish!

MAME32 doesn't have online leaderboards, online multiplayer or Achievements/Trophies. Also, MAME is *illegal*.

Bit of a quandary with that one. It is not illegal in the true sense, in that Sony has tried to have it stopped in court but failed, yet technically it breaches copyright. Still it is legal in most countries....for the moment anyway.
