Bethesda has announced that the official toolkit for Rage is going to be available on Steam shortly. According to the developer, it's the same toolkit was used to developer both Rage and the Scorchers DLC.

The file is a 35GB download, and the developer urges gamers to visit the Welcome to the Rage Tool Kit page as well as the FAQ and EULA, both of which are PDF files.

The Toolkit will appear in the Steam Workshop page here.

I think that it is a bit late now... not sure how many people still play this game, as I can't find anyone online.

Great mods can do wonders for the popularity of games, let's be optimistic for now :)

35GB for editor + 25GB for game. I must have now 60GB for Rage, plus DLCs is about 3,5GB and then fan creates mods... There will be about 100GB needed for one game, nice ;-)

I got the urge to play Rage again after seeing the Wasteland 2 video, and used The Scorchers DLC as an excuse to do so. If you enjoyed Rage it's definitely worth getting, great value for money for only £3.49. Several new areas that are stretched over the whole game, new clan to fight, new harder difficulty mode, new Smash TV round, the ability to play past the ending - and most importantly I've heard there's actually a proper boss fight that the finale should've had.

Nevertheless, still is a bit late, as was the DLC. Which is a shame, I enjoyed Rage but it was never quite all there.

Came and went. Nice try, but unless there is a massive discount on the base game I don't see the point. Might appeal to the faithful, but not for new players.

If, someone will implement RPG progression system, this game will explode.

I felt almost at all moments of this game, that RPG system was cut of from final game, I even thought that Bethesda made them to do so, cuz of not crossing Fallout franchise.

I really liked the game-engine, but the game felt really off and un-engaging. A true testament that ID software can make engines, but are falling behind the making of games...
I would love to see that engine for Fallout 3 though...

That engine for Fallou 3 would make the game amazing.

Any modern engine would make Bethesda games better :).
Their current one is getting on the old side.

Too bad that Fallout3 also needs a really huge overlook at the design and gaming as well ;)
I really prefered the old Fallout 1/2 skills and progression than the Elder Scrolls up to 100...

Even Oblivion had up to 125%...

The HD mod pack for "Oblivion" improved the game tremendously. Bethesda really do need to look at their propriety engine as it just doesn't do their games justice.
As for "Rage" - still can't forgive the plasticine blood effects. Horrible.

Still, Rage was a bit of fun, but I recalled that my main gripe was the lack of feel with the weapons. Most guns felt inadequat for the job at hand - except the boomerang that was more or less insta-death. I actually am considering reinstalling it.
A big problem was the boss fight that was close to how the heck???
