Injustice Battle Arena brackets begin with Bats, Bane, Harley and Wonder Woman

Netherrealms has started a March Madness-style tournament bracket with fights between playable characters in Injustice: Gods Among Us, with the outcomes based on a fan vote.

The first two feature Batman and Bane having a rematch - with Bane shattering Batman over his knee at one point - and Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman getting it on in the second match.

Looks fun, but more than a little silly when those two scientists didn't even blink an eye at the titanic struggle happening behind them - nor when the monitor they were observing was smashed in.

Liked the cameo appearance from all the Arkham City versions of Batman villains though.

After reading "Knightfall" by Dennis O'Neill (based on the comic book series) it's hard to take anything "Batman" as silly fun. Many a truism in the storyline revealing deeply floored characters (Azrael for one, Dick Grayson for another) resulted in whole re-workings of many long time characters.
Bane was brilliantly realised with a strong back story and seeing him as this hulking loon (left over from "Batman and Robin") is hard.
This is like watching the characters from "Batman Forever" and "Batman & Robin" all over again (fun for the kiddies, but too much like the second TV series in the '60's).
