Paradox Interact has released a new developer diary for their upcoming grand strategy title Europa Universalis IV. The dev diary is narrated by project lead Thomas Johansson, who discusses technology research in-game.

In addition, the sequel pays more attention to player choice as players can amass higher levels of tech, which grants better weapons and diplomatic ideas.

Check out the developer diary in the video below.

Hang on, I've just begun "EU III". I do look froward to trying out the new MP. Might get me into actually playing PI games with others (perish the thought). Quite exciting news here, if you're like me and into these games.

I do! And I like what they're thinking with the tech.

Bit late with EUIII, but there's plenty of time till this bad boy hits :)

What can I say - so many quality strategy titles, so little time.

Nothing quite like a game of EU III, sucks up your day before you realise the sun came back up already.

Well I picked the "EU III", "Victoria II" and "Pride of Nations" Collections all on the same day, so I have an awful lot of catching up to do.
Yet worse still, I have "The King's Crusade Collection" to get through as well, having received it from PI as compensation for the woeful "Naval War Arctic Circle"
*sigh* Where's my Eternal Youth potion?
