Wargaming launches professional eSports league

Wargaming has announced a professional eSports league for its MMO action game World of Tanks.

The company hopes to take a huge stride in the competitive gaming market with the creation of the Wargaming.net League.

This should also open up World of Tanks and the Wargaming brand to a new market, enticing a greater number of players to try out the organisation's products.

Can the team-based strategy title excel in professional play? Either way, Wargaming's support should be another notch on the eSports belt.

Are those zero damage critical hits still around?

Yup,and there's gonna be a tier X British TD with a 310 mm pen and 1150 dmg. I hope they nerf it before it's introduced into the game.

Crap. I don't play the MP as there are far too many cheaters an those who take the GAME far too seriously. Perhaps it might get rid of the latter but not the former.

Well unless they get rid of a LOT of the random elements, this is just not a viable e-sport IMO...you can't have performances depend on dice rolls at that level.

This game really doesn't qualify for eSports then, but I guess the prize pool could be enough to convince people otherwise.
