Sony uncertain about European launch for PlayStation 4

The PlayStation 4 is currently listed as a "holiday 2013" release, but does this mean worldwide? If we look at past launches, the European market has always been last. Could this change with the PS4?

Unfortunately, it's still uncertain what plans Sony has for a European launch. Speaking with Eurogamer, Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida said that it was "too early to tell" with regards to the launch timing of the PS4 in Europe.

"People in Europe always complain that they're last even when sometimes some things are exclusive to European consumers," explained Yoshida.

It has been heavily rumoured that Sony will launch the PlayStation 4 simultaneously, but it's still possible that we won't see it until 2014 in Europe. We'll have to wait and see, but we probably won't know for sure until E3 2013 in June. We'll keep you posted.

Have to balance stock supplies with providing sufficient machines to each market and obviously the launch date. I understand WHY we get short served so often, but I still hate it.
