Arkedo Studio an empty shell, still has two games to release

Arkedo Studio, which developed the digital title Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, has disbanded after a seven year run. The company exists, but has no employees, according to creative director Aurelien Regard.

Regard wrote in his personal blog, "Arkedo, the company, is still here. But no one's employed anymore. No more games are produced either."

He added, "Our team has grown throughout the years and we didn't have any secured project on sight after Hell Yeah. We first produced two new little games, self funded, by splitting the team into two mini autonomous teams. But before running out of money, we had to do something."

The decision to disband was to make a clean break, rather than draw it out interminably.

"It has been decided to disband the team when there still was enough money to get good conditions for everyone, rather than replace permanent positions with interns and a bad atmosphere," Regard explained, "As in any human matter, it is important to know when to stop, to get a clean situation. It is precisely because we did this at this time that everyone from Arkedo is still having a good time together, even after it's officially over."

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit was released on the 26th September 2012 on PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

Offer me a salary and I'll sit in the office taking phone calls. Might even tweak a few game codes if I'm in the mood and/or over-caffeinated.

Sad really, Hell Yeah! was a good game. We didn't review it though because no one thought to send us a copy and I personally was in the middle of reviewing Dishonored. I bought it though, and barring it crippling Steam and not turning off when I exited it was definitely fun.
