Sony has released the demo for God of War: Ascension via the US PlayStation Network with it scheduled to bloody up the lives of European fans tomorrow. It is joined by a single player trailer.

The new combat mechanics can be sampled in the demo. It hits retailers March 12th in the US, March 15th in the UK. The demo has plenty to cleave.

God of War: Ascension - Unchained also releases for PS Vita. Sony has been kind enough to highlight what you'll be sampling in the demo:

• Make your stand against a Titanic beast and its infected legions
• Unleash your Rage in fiery explosions that burn your enemies to ash
• Impale enemies on your chained blades and use them in combat as living wrecking balls
• Wield the weapons of your enemies in countless new combos

God of War: Ascension lies but two weeks away. Try to contain your thirst for blood and rage until then.
