Rumor: Saints Row 4 to be announced at PAX East

Koch Media snagged the Saints Row franchise during the auction for THQ's properties, and its videogame division company, Deep Silver, may be announcing Saints Row 4 at PAX East 2013.

Deep Silver's PR rep Aubrey Norris tweeted, "Dear media: You're going to want to be at PAX East this year. If not, you're going to be missing out on something HUGE. Just FYI!"

However, game designer Chris Stockman announced in his own tweet, "hey just to let you know word around the campfire is SR4 is shipping on current gen consoles in late August."

An August 2013 release for Saints Row 4 sounds a bit early, but not impossible. Stay tuned.

Never played one of these, but if I were to ever return to the open world of sandbox gaming, once ruled over by "GTA" I'd try this instead.

I got Saints Row the 3rd on STEAM as a giftable item. Can't decide whether to give it a go or simply give it away to someone...
I don't like GTA but had a really good time playing Sleeping Dogs...
