Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm is due to be released next week on the 12th March, and Blizzard has revealed that work on the second expansion, Legacy of the Void, is underway.

It was conformed by game director Dustin Browder on a Reddit AMA. When asked about Void, he stated, “We have started on Legacy story, scripts and missions,” adding more than 80 developers as well as “hundreds” of QA, cinematic and support staff were working on the Protoss-centric expansion.

It'll be interesting to see how long Legacy of the Void takes, since there was a two-and-a-half year gap between Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm.

I see another two-and-a-half year gap. Blizz certainly takes it's time.

They basicly rip the fans out off their money.Remember how they released the first Starcarft it was all the races are in one single game and whit the expansion they did the same. Now what did they do now days?

What are you talking about? You get all the races in Wings of Liberty. These are just single player campaign expansions.

Well, it does make the story a bit more interesting having to focus on one race at a time... but then again, they could've done the whole thing in one unit as well instead of dividing it into three parts... but that would leave no rooms for expansions...

Honestly I don't complain too much about how the game is being developed, it works perfectly for me, and I loved every moment of Wings of Liberty... can't wait for next week.
