Tim Schafer has announced on Twitter that writer Ron Gilbert will be leaving Double Fine Productions. Gilbert had worked on The Cave for the developer.

Schafer revealed this in a tweet, stating, "Sad to say @grumpygamer feels like it's time to spread his grumpy wings and fly. Good luck, Ron! Thanks for The Cave!"

As a goodbye, Gilbert posted a map of The Cave on his blog. Spoiler alert for those who haven't played it yet and don't wish to have The Cave pre-explored for them.

The Cave was released on the 23rd January 2013 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and earned a 4.0/10 score from Strategy Informer's review.
