Kerbal Space Program now on Steam

One of the most accurate simulations available, Kerbal Space Program is now available on Steam for $22.99 USD.

The game is a meticulous space program management game in which players must design their own space exploration vehicles to launch into space, and either orbit the Earth or even land on the Mun (the game's version of the Moon). The game is accurate to the extreme that even launching into space is a challenge.

The difficulty is mollified by the Kerbals themselves, little green astronauts who pilot the spacecraft. Much of the fun derives from their happiness - or, more likely, outright terror - as the ship launches.

Fun while it was free, now I'm not so sure. Might wait for a decent price drop.

It was never free I thought? They did have a limited demo though

You played it while it was in development, not really a demo or limited. Just an open Alpha -> Beta in a way.

Must have been earlier still. When I played you could play a limited version for free or buy the full thing.

You could be right, as i wasn't that interested in it anyway, so I didn't play that much of it. Find "Oriental Space Flight Simulator" more up my alley.

Assuming you mean Orbiter.

Damn, I really should have my glasses on at 3am. Thanks Roddy, I'll leave it be so as to validate your point, which should be all shiny and gleaming by now.
