Gearbox reveals sixth playable character at PAX East 2013

Gearbox revealed the sixth playable character for Borderlands 2, which will be available in May for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99 USD): Kreig, a Psycho who has become a "reformed" bandit - reformed only in that he's shooting with the Vault Hunters and not at them.

Kreig's main trait is that he's suicidal and crazy, and, as Gearbox noted, he is "high risk, high reward". His three skill trees include Bloodlust (which gives the Buzz Axe weapon and awards bonuses for combo kills), Mania (which increases the rate the action skill recharges as Kreig gets hurt), and Hellborn (in which Kreig gets more powerful as he is literally on fire.)

In related news, 2K Games has announced that the Borderlands 2 level cap will be increased to 61 on the 2nd April 2 via the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack, which is included with the game's $30 downloadable content Season Pass. It also unlocks a new Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode.

Check out Kreig in his reveal trailer in the video below.

Make the hay while the sun still shines Randy, as GearBox are sure to be in dire straits when "Brothers in Arms 4" is released - and flops as badly, or nearly so, as "Aliens: CM". Aside from the "Borderlands" franchise, they've not had any real success since "BiA: Earned in Blood". They've had a couple of massive failures though, beginning with "BiA: Hell's Highway" which took PC gamers by surprise. Surprised at just how damn awful a console port it was.

Well, the Aliens CM made me so angry that I have also stopped playing Borderlands 2 :S
Feels a bit like over-reaction - but such is life right now - not on the top of the greatest heights - so all the little things get pretty big....
