CCP release EVE Online: Odyssey June 4th, "expression of our love for space"

EVE Online developer CCP, creator of a whole galaxy nonetheless, has marked June 4th in their calendar as the date their 19th free expansion will be releasing - Odyssey. It's a 'love letter to space exploration'.

A lot is changing with Odyssey such as the scanning mechanic being revamped, a fresh UI, rewards for finding hidden treasures among the stars, new ships, graphics updates and more.

The studio will also be upsetting the economy by rebalancing resources and ships that'll shake those cobwebs loose among veteran pilots and corporations.

"Odyssey is an expression of our love for space and exploration," said Andie Nordgren, EVE Online senior producer. "It brings changes that will wake the wanderlust and taste for adventure in both new and veteran pilots." Earlier in March CCP announced that their space-faring MMORPG had achieved 500k subscribers.

f2p would absolutely ruin Eve. The sub keeps out all the morons. Also it's really easy to pay for the sub making isk in-game, I only paid for the first month with real money.

Maybe but i`d have to play constantly and i don`t want that,i`d play it like GW 2,little by little, don`t like focusing on one game all the time.

Yeah it does take up a lot of time, I go through weekly cycles of playing/not playing or else I get totally burned out.

Yeah so that way it is already free to play.
