DigitalDNA's horror-themed Minecraft clone, CastleMiner Z, continues to rack up the sales as the best selling Xbox Live Indie game.

After passing the 1M sales mark last September 2012, the developer announced that the game has passed the 1.5M mark in a blog post.

In the post, the developer thanked, "I have to thank each and every one of you for making this game such a success. I could not have done it without you, and your support has allowed me to continue working on the game and the CastleMiner franchise. Thank you everyone!"

The original CastleMiner is also approaching 1M sales.

Good Lord, I've time-warped back 25 years and am play "Wolfenstein 3D" all over again, except outdoors. Not quite as bad as the graphics back then (yet enormously immersive) on reflection, but today's retrogamers can have this art style.
Gag. I feel depressed just looking at this picture.

I'm not too impressed by these retro styled games either, going trough this visual phase once was plenty.
But then again, as long as the gameplay is actually fun I can still swallow stuff like this.

I find the worst games often have cutting edge graphics, because they're tech demos, not games.

True, true and I'd be the first to agree. However, Graphics from the '90's are fine by me in strategy games, but not FPS's. Call me a snob....go ahead, I dare you:)
