Four developers who worked for Heavy Rain studio Quantic Dream have revealed their new game, a space combat sim Strike Vector. The developers promise "a distinct old school feel, reminiscent to games such as Crimson Skies, Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament."

The game differs from other of its ilk in that it takes place within massive structures. The game also allows the player to shift from a third-person combat mode to a first person mode that allows for better aiming but less mobility.

The game will be multiplayer-focused, but the team is "currently working on some modes allowing the player to play alone." As for a release date, the developers state it'll be released when it's ready.

Players interested in Strike Vector can check it out in the official site here.

This seemed super promising and very awesome, then I got to the 3rd person mode thing. That's exactly the kind of I crap I expect such a game to totally ignore. :(

Looks great. I'll give this one a go once it's released but I fear this is one of those games where you need reflexes of a thirteen year old nerd bitten by a radioactive rattlesnake :)

@noobstar: You know how many classic space sims are third person?

@djole: They know what they're doing.
