Gamers may join Company of Heroes 2 closed beta by clicking Like on Facebook

Sega has announced that entering the closed beta for Company of Heroes 2 is as easy as Liking the official game page on Facebook. In essence, gamers only need to click a button to enter the beta.

The closed beta is for the multiplayer portion of the game. Players will have access to six maps which which to play against other players in solo or team matches. They may even play co-op against the computer AI. According to the press release, "Players also get access to the first 40 levels of progression, and the ability to customize their loadouts to suit their play style using the all new Army Customizer."

11 Bit Studios are doing the same with "Anomaly 2" so it's obviously catching on. I too rarely visit FB (it's a good way to keep pace with what my son is doing, not checking up though, as I don't hear from him for long stretches).
Got my code though (thanks Jonah), now I just have to find time to give it a go. Perhaps on the weekend.

Interesting. There's been a number of like-whoring scams along these lines, getting you to like some bogus link for ad revenue and never providing the goods. Now how am I supposed to tell the goodstuff from the bollocks?
