Blizzard has announced that the PlayStation 3 version of Diablo III is now available for preorder. The console version will be released for $59.99 later this year. Gamers who elect to preorder it for the PS3 will get the Infernal Helm, which basically gives the character an XP boost.

The PS3 version has been optimized for the console controllers, and will add such movements as ducking and rolling, as well as same machine co-op play for four players, online PSN play, or any combination of the two.

The game will also eschew the controversial Auction House and will be playable offline.

Damn Blizzard, favoring console players over PC players. If this game ever receives an offline patch, I might consider buying it, otherwise, my money goes elsewhere.

This really seems like a kick in the nuts for the PC crowd.
I'm glad I ignored this game long enough for friends to tell me that the game is nothing special.

Not cool Blizzard... I don't get what they are doing, but hey, that is how the system works these days.

My attitude is "Hey, Diablo3.. I remember that... PS3 pre-order? Pfft, welcome to, like, 2012 or some shit."

PS3 owners with no PC may have a differing opinion.

I liked it ok, but as I've said, it's just too-too short. I'm feeling more and more that AAA titles just don't deliver on value for money. I mean, I got D3 for free, so that's hard to argue against, but there's no way I'd pay the asking price.

So wish D3 will die on consoles but let`s be honest there`s a small chance of that happening, unfortunately.

Typical bloody Blizzarse. Excuse my Aussie, but Blizzard really know how to get my goat.
@Heno
As I've said before, your boundless enthusiasm is a welcome breath of fresh air to us jaded 'oldies'. Sometimes it's a bit screwy, but I can live with that. You fit right in:)

Well Blizzard, frog-hop you right back. The PS3 versions seems to be the superior version and if I hadn't bought the PC crap I might have bought the PS3 version. It looks honestly OK.

But - there is a game that you may have heard of - Torchlight 2.

Before you could laugh at Torchlight because it didn't had randomized maps, didn't have that many classes, didn't have that many feats/skills, and looked like a Diablo 2 cartoonish rip-off. Well, today Torchlight 2 still doesn't have randomized maps - but that is something it shares with Diablo 3. it has a tonne of customization for the fun of it - Diablo 3 has few power builds for making the game and maximizing loot to sell and buy.

Diablo 3 is a game about buying and selling stuff - Torchlight 2 lets your bloody pet handle that so you can concentrate on exploring and hunting baddies and having fun.

So sorry Blizzard - you got beaten by a cartoonish "clone" at your own home turf... oh no - that is not the entire truth is it? Torchlight 2 is so fun because they actually have teh people that made Diablo into the name that 3 billions of people rush out to buy regardless of teh warning chimes. I guess that a lot of those 3 billioins will think more than once the next time they hear Blizzard talking.

@Heno? Who the Foxtrot is Heno? ;-) Kidding dude - you go stick warrior. Don't expect a lot of support from us PC oldies though.

Soon we will all swear at burned fingertips when the next generation comes and swipes us into oblivion.

Heno's sweet and untainted by the years of gaming that have dug wrinkles into our faces, blurred our vision and scarred our very souls. Leave him alone.

PS. Watch the language, hey Wolfy:)

Nah, I think Wolfy just likes jumping people....in a purely platonic fashion.

Not meaning to stomp on Hneo at all - I wouldn't mind getting a few kickings on a few selected people who taken decisions on D3 though ;)

If Heno enjoys the game - he is far better off then those of us who can't since he is getting a good time.

Still - I will try to shackle my fingers and bad words... BAD WOLF BAD WOLF! ;)
