Son of Nor launches on Kickstarter from Austrian indie Still Alive Studios

A third-person action adventure from Still Alive Studios would have us flinging magic powers around, solo or in co-op, as we combine abilities and even shape the desert world around us in Son of Nor.

We'll be defeating foes as well as solving puzzles to gain more power, letting us shape our environment and wield the elements. The Kickstarter has just begun and Still Alive need $150k.

The indie outfit has already put a lot of the world together, and cast us as a Son of Nor, which is a human blessed with power by the goddess of the night, Nor.

We're tasked with saving humanity from a great enemy, the Sarahul Empire, who defeated mankind in The Great War -- those jerks. Now man lives in the last refuge they have called The Edge. Still Alive promise that action packed fights "are one of the main elements" we can look forward to in Son of Nor.

However there'll also be quite a bit of puzzle solving to overcome if we want to unlock sealed temples around the desert world of Noshrac, which will have us using our powers (telekinesis, terraforming, magic and combing them). For that extra mile Still Alive will be including up to 4 player co-op, which let you experience areas exclusive to multiple players.

It's a fascinating proposal for a third-person action game so why not check out the Son of Nor Kickstarter for more information, and maybe even to slap a few pledge monies down? It's in development for PC, Mac and Linux.
