22Cans has released their latest video update for Godus which is due to be in the hands of backers soon in alpha form. The team are busy cramming in code, art and sounds to get it ready.
We also get to see some of it in action, although the mood among backers is subdued over its 'Farmville nature' of clicking homes to collect Faith, the game's currency for God powers.
We get to see more of the sculpting power and how we can form our own rivers and even construct harbours thanks to the flowing water, which will also carry off objects.
Again though the general feeling is the 'click to gain belief' decision is a poor one and the hope is that the team will ditch it in favour of something more 'automatic'. It's still early days and the features in the alpha are by no means permanent, and Peter Molyneux has been adamant he wants it in the hands of backers quickly so they can get feedback.
The Godus alpha is due this month for Kickstarter backers. The video also reveals Steam integration is in the works.
