Warner Bros tie up rights for Dungeon & Dragons film

Warner Bros has confirmed the rights to begin production on a Dungeons & Dragons film.

Wrath of the Titans screenwriter David Leslie Johnson is behind the production that is currently codenamed Chainmail. The story is loosely based on a game by D&D designer Gary Gygax, although the script is being reworked.

Roy Lee and Courtney Solomon are currently producing the film. While the latter is also working on the LEGO Movie, Solomon was behind the Jeremy Irons D&D production back in 2000.

Another straight-to-dvd offering, or something that is actually worthwhile? I didn't mind the first one, but it is quite rubbish to look back on.

Language, please Jonah.

"codenamed Chainmail." IDK :/ ... "The story is loosely based on a game by D&D designer Gary Gygax, although the script is being reworked." :( Loosely? Loosely? Then don't pay for an IP your not going to use.

Connected to that abomination from 2000? P.U.

Not excited in the least and I hate you for raising them for a split second.
