Tecmo Koei's 30-year-old Nobunaga's Ambition series is getting a new entry this year subtitled Creation, which will have fans crafting a new era during various historical periods of Japan.

They're going all out and will have a full 3D map with over 300 castles, which is their largest ever count. The dev team highlights three words: reality, dynamic and dramatic.

While specifics are slim on the new strategy game, we do know Nobunaga's Ambition: Creation is coming to PS3 and PC this year. Will it stray from the Sengoku era?

It was one of the first ever turn-based grand strategy RPG games, which launched in 1983. Will it come to the West?

I played my Nintendo nobunaga game to death. It'd be pretty cool to see a modernized version for PC. It'd probably suck since almost nobody seems capable of doing modern versions of classics without screwing up what made them great to begin with.

Considering how the big pubs love their sequels and safe bets, it's surprising that more classics aren't redone/revamped - other than the fact that they usually make them suck in the process.
