Activision has unveiled the new story trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts which debuted at Microsoft's Xbox One reveal event. Developer Infinity Ward showed off the impressive tech that would be going into the PC and next-gen console of the trailer, as well as a Fable-like companion dog.

The game is being penned by Stephen Gaghan, who won an Academy Award for his adapted screenplay Traffic, and will have a setting in which the US military is in utter disarray, with a special super-elite force, the Ghosts, having to deal with a superior invasion force.

The developer also took the time to show off some of the effects in the game, such as advanced multilayer skin, particle, lighting and smoke effects.

Check out the new trailer in the video below. Call of Duty: Ghosts is due to be released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on the 7th November 2013.

Nooope. One big nope. The textures, lightning and animations (ingame) seem waaay to similar to the ones from the old (currently used) engine.
Also, the dog will probably die. OR save the player character and THEN die.

If there has been no significant upgrade to the graphic engine and main construct, then it is purely another money making racket.
I've a feeling IW are working on just what I am looking for behind this veil.

Probably will just wait for a Steam sale on this one. The COD stories, though sometimes ridden with plot holes, can provide some mindless fun. Doubt the multiplayer will change any though.

Generic shooter galore - lets all round up to play the same thing once more but now with more fancy pre-rendered ├╝ber-cool cutscenes and QTE...

Maybe PS4 graphics would be more motivating!

Next-next Gen dogs, though Chosen. Whoopee!
