The MMORPG Guild Wars 2 is from now on a bit cheaper as NCSoft and developer ArenaNet has snipped the price tag down, which came into effect yesterday. The standard edition now costs $50 / £34.99.
The Digital Deluxe is lowered to $70 / £49.99. They decided to permanently lower the price to lure in more players as ArenaNet keeps releasing new episodic content.
Guild Wars 2 is a free-to-play MMO, much like its predecessor, so once you cover the entry fee of buying the game it's yours to enjoy with no monthly stings.
"This is a really exciting time as the game is receiving episodic content updates at a very rapid pace, making Guild Wars 2 extremely accessible for players looking to invite their friends into the game or jumping in themselves for the first time," said the press release.
