Developer Crytek has updated their games product page for Ryse, their Roman-era and Kinect-powered action title. It's revealed that Ryse will be 'exclusive' to the Xbox One, taking full advantage of the new Kinect.
Of course it'll also have all that extra horsepower under the hood for Crytek's CryEngine 3, like support of DirectX 11. They've a countdown for an announcement in 21 days.
It was back at E3 in 2011 when Crytek announced Ryse, but shortly after very little was being shown about it with concerns it might have been scrapped by the studio.
Recently though they did confirm that things were with its development, but still offered nothing in the way of specifics. It's not surprising that they planned on delaying Ryse for the next Xbox platform given how significant a role Kinect is to the experience, and Xbox One has a vastly superior motion camera.
However the game is playable with a controller as Crytek say via their website it features "controller-based gameplay enhanced by Kinect," so it's not a purely motion-based action title. Recent rumblings have Crackdown 2's Ruffian Games working on Ryse, which has since shifted from Crytek's Budapest team to Frankfurt.
