Castle building addicts will have something to look forward to next week as Firefly Studios has revealed Stronghold Crusader 2 will be sieging E3 in Los Angeles. It would appear it will be limited to the press however.
They'll be showcasing the all-new visuals, battle interface, units and AI. Firefly have promised it will be sticking to the original's "epic fast-paced skirmish gameplay" with plenty of new goodies.
Stronghold Crusader 2 is to be self-published by Firefly Studios who plan to release it Q3. They will use crowd-funding through Gambitious for extra polish later in 2013.
“The Stronghold series has been a huge success. Since the launch of the first game more than 6 million Stronghold games have been sold and it’s all thanks to the fans, many of whom have been with us from the very start,” said Nick Tannahill, Marketing Manager at Firefly Studios.
“We can’t wait to show people what we’ve been working on and will do just that with our E3 reveal. I’m happy to announce that we will also be launching the full Crusader 2 website on June 11th, which will feature the game’s first trailer, artwork and more." There'll be a backer-only beta phase held for Stronghold Crusader 2.
E3 2013 runs between June 11-13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
