PC version of Saint's Row 2 left in limbo
Posted: 13.10.2008 09:27 by Jamie Davey Comments: 6
THQ have not confirmed a release date for the PC version of Saint's Row 2, although the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will be coming out on the 17th of October, and some retail chains list the PC version for the same date, were as others list it for November.

So we decided to ask THQ about a release window for the PC version, and they told us that no date has been given for the PC version, so they couldn't comment on it being delayed.

“The PC version hasn't actually been dated at all so I can't actually
comment on whether or not it has been delayed or not.”
.

We have just published our review for the console versions, which you can read here.

Maybe their gettin it, and release Console versions first, gain sme profit, then risk the PC version. It's like Orv said in another news. And i think He's right, it's all about market Strategy!

THQ have a peculiar record of release dates for their games. STALKER is PC-only, the PS3 version of BIOSHOCK took over 12 months to come out, and the 360 version of SupCom over a year as well. All depends on the Developer with THQ really.

I hope no one critisises THQ again, Because IF they do I might vent my anger on
herodotus. THQ MY favorite game developer, Number 1 game series, being Dawn
of War, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade, Soulstorm, and Dawn of War II. The reason
for this, being the gameplay is totaly and amazingly inventive. Number 2 game
series, being Company of Heroes, and its expansion pack Opposing Fronts. The
reason being, that the graphics are TOTALY Awesome, the engaging story line
takes you back in time to wittness the Brutality and Carnage of WW II.

Eversor, you should probably be a fan of Relic Entertainment as well, since they did develop all those titles that you mentioned. Along with HomeWord and other entertaining Strategy Games.

Well, just like EA, they will sense the fear of loosing profit. Poor guys. I love Stalker, I really do! But why the hell did they have to make it so buggy!? Goddamn!

Eversor, as Jamie said, praise Relic and leave THQ outside of your fan.shrine awhile longer. THQ could turn out to be worthy, but I guess it is only time before most publishers have learned the DRM problem ;)
