Sierra veterans Jim Walls and Robert Lindsley, best known for the Police Quest games, have announced a new adventure game being crowdfunded on Kickstarter, Precinct. The game like its predecessors will be a classic point-and-click adventure game.

The Kickstarter campaign is looking to raise $500K. “Like the original Police Quest series, Precinct let’s people see what it’s really like to be a police officer,” stated Walls, “With today’s development tools and technology, I can finally deliver the type of experience that I’ve always wanted to. I want Precinct to rekindle the feeling of classic adventure games while delivering a cutting edge police adventure to a whole new generation of gamers.”

The plot of Precinct follows Officer Maxwell Jones, which the developers promise will be "a realistic police adventure through the mean streets of Fraser Canyon." The game also promises to feature "some of today's brightest Hollywood talent" with stories "based on true accounts of real police cases."

Precinct will be episodic, with 5 episodes scheduled, the first being released in Q3 2014. Stretch goals will add Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions as well.
