Microsoft has started selling Xbox One accessories on the official online Microsoft store, revealing the prices of the controller, headset, charger and year of Xbox Live.

Fortunately, the prices are all in line with the official Xbox 360 accessory prices:

* Xbox One Wireless Controller: $59.99 USD
* Xbox One Play and Charge Kit: $24.99 USD
* Xbox One Wireless Controller with Play and Charge Kit: $74.99 USD
* Xbox One Chat Headset: $24.99 USD
* Day One 12-Month Xbox Live Gold Membership: $59.99

One wonders what the "Day One" Xbox Live Gold Membership will involve.

So the headset is still painful to look at x3

Kind of confused by the play and charge kit, surely you get a charging cable with the controller? Why is that not just an extra battery pack?

If you get a second controller, you might want a second charger.

I would have assumed the second charging cable came with the controller, I must expect too much or something. After all a USB cable must be very expensive x3

I see massive amounts of monies being forked out by struggling families here in Oz this Chrissie on pre-orders alone.
This is just too extreme. Who are Microsoft trying to emulate? Apple?

One of the names considered for the Xbox One was "Pippin". :p

It just gets worse. That actually probably would have sold well.
Pippin....hmmmm.

(sigh) It's a joke. The Apple Pippin. Ever heard of it?

Anyway:

1. You're not required to buy the bundle.
2. 3rd party controllers and headsets will be available.

Yet Amazon still list the Wireless controller as £89.99. (It's a placeholder, I know, but still.)
