The International 2013, Dota 2's third annual global tournament, has been won by Swedish pro-gamer team Alliance. They beat Ukrainian finalists Na'Vi at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Washington.

Alliance members have walked away with $1.4 million in prize money. Na'Vi having come in second took $632k home. Last year's winners, Invictus Gaming, were eliminated in Round 4.

Orange from Malaysia finished third scoring $290k. The International Dota 2 tournament first launched back at Gamescom 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

The initial prize pool for this year's International was set at $1.6 million from Valve's own coffers, but community contributions pushed that figure up to $2.8 million. Valve recently enabled a link between Dota 2 and users' Twitch accounts to help support online streaming of matches.
