Electronic Arts unveiled the playable Zombie classes that will be included in their Frostbite 3.0-powered shooter Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, as well as the exclusive Kinect/Smartglass "Boss Mode" for the Xbox One version of the game.
The new classes include the Soldier, who's main weapon is the rocket launcher, while the football player All-Star zombie is armed with a minigun who can fire 400 footballs a minute. The Engineer, sporting a butt-crack and all, sports a sonic grenade, can move fast when hopping on a jackhammer like a pogo stick and can build teleporters and turrets. The Scientist is the healing class, but can also teleport spam around the battlefield and is armed with a plasma powered shotgun-like weapon.
Electronic Arts also revealed the exclusive Boss Mode for the Xbox One, which will allow players to take on the role of either Crazy Dave or Doctor Zomboss. Players will use either Kinect or a tablet to get into a field commander role, dropping weapons or air support, while collecting sunlight (Dave) and brains (Zomboss) to earn enough to buy stuff to deploy.
Check out the developer diary describing the four classes in detail, as well as the Boss mode.
