Cincinnati, OH-based indie developer Loreful has started a Kickstarter crowdfunding drive for Ambrov X, a science fiction RPG based on Jacqueline Lichtenberg's Sime-Gen Universe, which originated in 1969.
Ambrov X will be taking a page from Mass Effect, in that not only will it be a 3D, single player RPG with action elements, but it'll force the player into making "meaningful and difficult decisions that truly alter the flow of story and quests" with fully-voiced cinematic dialog scenes.
The game will be released in 5 episodes, each of which will range from 3 to 5 hours in length. ranging from 3-5 hours each. Players can choose their gender, which human sub-species they are (Sime or Gen), and choose between four unique classes (the Endowed, the Monk, the Agent and the Sentinel.)
Ambrov X will be released DRM-free on PC, Mac and Linux sometime in mid-2015, but it will eventually be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as iOS and Android. It will also be available in six languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.
